 TRANSPARENCY IN FOOD LABELING
Non-GMO Verified, Certified Vegan and More
Consumers want a clear picture of the ingredients that go into their food; where they came from, how they were grown and why they are there in the first place. In a recent study, 94 percent of respondents said it’s important that brands are transparent about their products.
Certifications like Non-GMO Project Verified, USDA Certified Organic, Certified Vegan and Certified Gluten Free, help customers make decisions based on their diet or allergies.
Providing sources for the food you use at your business is simple. Highlight local farms by placing signs near produce or list farms on the bottom of your menu. Post information that provides details about your composting program, about sustainability efforts, or employee volunteer programs.
