 THANK GOODNESS FOR HOLIDAY BREAD
Nothing is better than a freshly baked loaf of bread on a holiday morning. These breads are a twist on the typical breads offered at holiday meals. Offer your customers something exciting, different, mouth-watering and delicious.
• Savory Cheese Bread. Add a mild cheese or go bold with a sharp flavor. Mix in sundried tomatoes and green onions for a savory bread fit to eat on its own or with olive oil.
• Chocolate Babka Wreath. Twist traditional babka dough into a wreath and top with a powdered-sugar glaze. Play around with milk and dark chocolate for different tastes.
• Sprouted Whole Wheat Focaccia. Sprouted wheat flour and dried fruits take this Italian staple bread to the next level. Not into dried fruit? Mix in olives or fresh herbs for a savory flavor.
• Jam-Filled Coffee Bread. Sunday morning coffee cake has been reinvented with layers of jam and cream cheese.
• Pao de Queijo. These Brazilian buns are filled with cheese and are naturally gluten free. Mix butter, water, milk, salt and tapioca flour together in a stand mixer. Add in your choice of Parmesan, Romano or Asiago cheese and beat with eggs until thick. Bake and enjoy these with any holiday dinner.
