Collette, a young woman born in 1990 with Down Syndrome, has been creating her own recipe for cookies for fun! But after rejection repeatedly when applying for a paying job and being told she had great skills, was always told the same thing she was not "a good fit". So since Collette loved baking for years and making her own recipes she decided if no one would hire her, she would start her own cookie company and name it after her family nickname "Collettey". Collette and Collettey's Cookies was established in 2016 online as a gifting company. She has 15 employees now and Collette's mission is to keep creating jobs for people with disabilities that cannot find employment. In 2021 Collette decided to make bite size crispy cookies and go to marketplaces to sell them. You will almost always find Collette pitching her cookie company for more sales. She is 100% hands on in her operation and speaks all over the world, as a hired speaker, advocating for change and acceptance. Oh and her cookis
are REALLY GOOD!
